Event Information [Nihonbashi Takashimaya Department Store

Hello everyone. I am washi artist Hiroya. Today, I would like to announce our first pop-up store in a while.

• Time: 10:30 - 19:30 (last day until 17:00)

I haven't been to an event or exhibition since January 2020, so it's been a really long time. To be honest, my body has become slow.

I wonder if I will be able to make it safely; I am a little worried because the event that was scheduled to be held in the spring of 2020 was abruptly cancelled due to a state of emergency declaration issued the day before the event.

The newspapers have reported that the government is not asking for any restrictions on activities, but I can't deny the feeling that they are taking a backward step, so I hope they don't get sidetracked again. Recently, there has been a tremendous outbreak of a new type of COVID‑19, but so far there has been no notice of cancellation, so the event will probably be held. I've heard that people around here and there have been infected with COVID‑19, so I can't say loudly enough, "Please come by and visit us! I can't say "Come on by! There are people I would like to meet after a long time, but it's hard to invite them since it concerns people's lives.

Please don't let the infection spread because of the event.
