Notice of Relocation of Atelier and Closing of Shop

Hello everyone. I am HIROYA, a Japanese paper artist.

Today, I am not here to talk about accessories, just an announcement.

As I announced in my blog on April 30, I am taking over the family business (manufacturing washi products for shrines and temples). Therefore, I am working on the relocation and integration of the family business and my atelier, as well as the management integration with the family business.

However, there are too many things to do and too many decisions to make. Just by changing the location, there is a lot of paperwork to be done, and I have to make new products, change the registration, and so on.

I have recently become addicted to sake and drink a small amount every day. Drinking it makes my day. My goal is to drink all the varieties of sake at the liquor store.

Then morning comes, and I am in a topsy-turvy situation with taking over the family business, moving two companies, and (due to budget cuts) painting the interior of one house by myself.

I always think that moving is a lot of fun when you think about it, but when it comes time to actually move, it is just a lot of hassle. I guess it's still easier for me since the neighborhood is within a 5-minute walk from my current atelier.

I'm going to start painting the interior next week. So the store will be closed at the end of this month. Thank you very much for all your support.

We are preparing to move in parallel, so the atelier is already crowded. Please do not be surprised when you visit the store. It is like a warehouse.
