HISTORY

2008: Started development of Washi accessories.
2010: Completed a three-dimensional molded washi ball using a unique technique. Stalls at art events such as Handmade Market and Design Festa to explore the possibilities.
February 2011: Exhibited at the Tokyo International Gift Show.
October 2011: Opened a pop-up store on the first floor of the Daimaru Kyoto store.
January 2013: Established the brand "ARATA" (started in a small 11㎡ atelier).
September 2013: Exhibited at rooms, a joint exhibition of fashion and design.
September 2013: Participated in the rooms exhibition opening on the 9th floor of Hankyu Umeda flagship store.
December 2013: Awarded the Grand Prix at the 1st "Kyo-Mono Youth Competition".
December 2013: Opened a pop-up store on the 1st floor of the Isetan Osaka store.
February 2014: Exhibited at rooms, a joint exhibition of fashion and design.
March 2014: Participated in a joint exhibition on the 10th floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store.
May 2014: Opened a rooms exhibition at the basement floor of Sogo Yokohama.
May 2014: Opened a pop-up store on the first floor of Tokyu Shibuya Main Store.
June 2014: Participated in the yukata selection on the 7th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store.
September 2014: Participated in rooms, a joint exhibition of fashion and design (received the Discover Japan Chief Editor's Award).
January 2015: Moved to a 47.5㎡ atelier.
April 2015: Opened a pop-up store on the first floor of Tokyu Shibuya Main Store.
August 2015: Recognized as one of The Wonder 500 by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "Hometown Specialty Discovery and Cooperation Promotion Project.
September 2015: Exhibited at rooms, a joint exhibition of fashion and design.
September 2015: Opened 6 pop-up stores at Takashimaya NIPPON Monogatari (Nihonbashi, Shinjuku, Tamagawa, Yokohama, Osaka, Kyoto).
October 2015: Opened a pop-up store on the first floor of Takashimaya Yokohama.

March 2016: Opened 6 pop-up stores at Takashimaya NIPPON MONOGATARI (Nihonbashi, Shinjuku, Tamagawa, Yokohama, Osaka, Kyoto).
March 2016: Opened a pop-up store on the first floor of the main store of Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi.
March 2016: Opened a pop-up store on the 1st floor of Mitsukoshi Hiroshima.

December 2019: Opening a store at LONDON SWAY GALLERY for the Christmas Fair.
December 2019: Won the Special Jury Prize at the Christmas Art Competition in YOKOHAMA.
January 2020: Exhibited at PARIS MAISON & OBJET (HALL. 5A UNIQUE& ECLECTIC SIGNATURE/BOOTH NO. O54-P53).
March 2020: Opening of a pop-up store at a special venue in the accessory section on the first floor of Kyoto Takashimaya Department Store.
April 2020: Pop-up store at the event space in front of the JP entrance on the 2nd floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya (cancelled due to the declaration of an emergency situation caused by the COVID-19).
